SC begins school year with a bang

To officialize the start of their term this school year, the Student Council (SC) took their oath, Friday, August 16.


"Life does not end at the mistakes you make," said Josh David, the new president. "Life is made of mistakes but life is not about mistakes; it’s about how you overcome them."


He further explained that mistakes are meant to be learned from and that the progress accomplished after the mistake is what matters.


Additionally, Dr. Marivic Daguio reminded the students to categorize all responsibilities into a 2-by-2 graphic organizer, which divides every tasks into urgent, not urgent, important and unimportant.


Former Executive Vice President Megan Victoria Hillary Chua-Unsu led the new council during their oath taking.


The elected officers for this school year are Josh David, President; Chino Burias, Executive Vice President; Wesley Villafuerte, Vice President; Steven Pe, Executive Secretary; Princess Chan, Press Secretary; Jarvy San Juan, Finance Secretary; Willer Uy, Logistics Secretary; Maxine Hormillio, Communications Secretary; Zach Ty, Internals Secretary; Jadyn Ong, Externals Secretary; Marcus Co, Cultural and Spiritual Secretary; Stacey Cheng, Grade 12 Batch Rep; Ythan Gloria, Grade 11 Batch Rep; Eyana Lao, Grade 10 Batch Rep; James Sim, Grade 9 Batch Rep; Jerome Tan, Grade 8 Batch Rep; and Tara Mohammad, Grade 7 Batch Rep.


Yearly, SC receives P700 from each student to fund their numerous projects, which include Lead Forward, a leadership workshop for class officers.


Students, teachers, and staff are expecting new projects and programs from the new SC, especially the ones promised during their campaigns.
