Living in a digital world has opened many doors of opportunities for many students to express their creativity for their different pursuits in passion; through online forums, seminars, podcasts, and conferences. High school students of Makati Hope Christian School (MHCS) joined Model ASEAN both from Ateneo De Manila and Hongkong, bringing home multiple awards from the concluded competition held from November 26 to 28.
WHAT IS MODEL ASEAN?
Unlike Model UN who focuses on addressing global issues, the Model ASEAN is mostly centered on tackling issues in the Southeast Asia region. Ateneo De Manila and the Hongkong Model ASEAN’s main focus is to create skill through training students to hone their talents on creative writing, negotiations, lobbying cooperation, socializations including critical thinking and debate. With its purpose for each delegate to embody the main principles of ASEAN: cooperation and mutual respect.
