Makati Hope Christian School implements the Makati Hope Christian School-Hybrid Learning Program (MHCS-HLP) for the school year 2022-2023.
“The ever-changing situation requires us to adopt a flexible learning model that would ensure our learners’ safe and continuous learning physically in school and/or virtually at home.” reasons Dr. Marivic Daguio, the school principal.
MHCS-HLP accommodates onsite and online students simultaneously by conducting synchronous classes. Onsite students reporting physically at school can see their online classmates in a synchronous call with them on the screen. This method allows interaction between onsite and online students.
The program adheres to the guidelines set by the Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Health (DOH), and the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATFEID).
It will ensure the continuous learning of the students by being responsive to the different learning styles of students.
New installments in classrooms have been made to implement this learning modality. A 60’ Smart TV, HD Webcam, overhead mic and audio mixer, speaker, and air purifier with HEPA filter have been added to every classroom.
“With the aid of technology, students could hear, see, and interact with each other. For now, the 1-meter-distance social distancing requirement by government agencies dictates the number of students inside the physical classroom. When necessary, students will take turns in attending school physically and online.” said Daguio.
Various co-curricular activities are also being offered to the students, such as the Mental Health and Wellness Program, Guidance Classes/Guidance Check-ins, Interest Clubs and the Sports/Varsity Program.
