As fire accidents became rampant during the month of March, which ironically is the Fire Prevention Month in the Philippines, the Makati Hope Christian School community prepared in times of emergencies by conducting a series of training and orientation headed by the Bureau of Fire Protection.
The teachers and staff were visited by the BFP personnel to provide them with necessary knowledge on how to respond to fire emergencies in the school.
Training included the proper identification of fire extinguishers, the correct way of opening and using of it, and the evacuation process.
The school also conducted fire drills during face-to-face classes to simulate the evacuation procedure for students.
Students and personnel also received actual mentoring on the use of the fire extinguisher
and water hose.
