Stop, Slow, Go

Traffic lights are there to avoid accidents in the road. They signal us to stop, slow down and go. In life, we’re not lucky enough to have someone who will constantly remind us when we should stop or go.

My life is full of situations where I wish someone was my signal in making decisions.

We all should learn when to stop. We should know our limitations in life. This goes for relationships, family, friendships and even in health.

As the popular saying goes “too much of something can hurt you”. This means we should know when to stop and think things through.

Having a little break from things can help us reflect and understand the situation. But taking too long can be unhealthy.

In slowing down, it’s normal if we want to take things slow. There’s no reason for us to rush into things, because everyone has their own pace.

Finally, if you’re ready to take risks, go. Go ahead as long as you know when you should stop and slow down.

There were some situations where I wished I knew when to stop and slow down, and some where I should have just went for it.

We are afraid of stopping because we think this will delay things, but what’s wrong with a little delay, right? In slowing down, we should not have to think of others more than ourselves. If you need the time, then take it. Go and seize the moment. Take your chance and don’t even think of any regrets.

You’ll know when it’s the perfect time.
