A deadly pandemic
Scares the entire world
Claiming lives of many
Not knowing how to stop
Each and every day
Many more people get affected
By such a deadly virus
Without having its cure
How many people have to die
Before we even find the cure
That would stop this virus
From taking even more lives
This deadly pandemic
Taking away people
Both rich and poor
With no mercy at all
This pandemic came
At the time we did not expect
Surprising us with its power
To spread from a country to another
All the lives taken away
Not even able to say goodbye
To their loved ones left behind
Crying and in deep sorrow
What can we do?
Just continue to pray
For a better and brighter tomorrow
That this virus will one day
Fade away
There is hope in everything
Like finding the cure
Even if it would take much time
As long as we do our role to survive
